EXPLANATION OF RESEARCH I am aware that I am participating in an observational clinical study that aims to investigate how the way in which clients and therapists deal with existential questions is associated with health complaints. I know that for this study my answers to a questionnaire will be collected and combined with the answers of other participants with a similar therapeutic treatment and will be processed statistically. I know that four ten-minute measurements will take place, at different times during the session (after intake interview, after fifth session, after tenth session, after twentieth session).
I know that my therapist has access to my answers to the questionnaires.
I declare that I have been informed about the nature, purpose and duration of the study and that I know what is expected of me. I have taken note of the information document and its appendices.
I have had plenty of time to think and talk to a person of my choosing, such as my therapist or a family member.
I was able to ask all the questions that came to mind and I received clear answers to my questions.
I understand that my participation in this study is voluntary and that I am free to discontinue my participation in this study at any time without any consequences for the further course of my therapeutic treatment.
I understand that data will be collected about me during my participation in this study and that the researcher and the client ensure the confidentiality of this data in accordance with relevant European and Belgian legislation. I understand that the conduct of this study by KU Leuven serves the public interest and the processing of my personal data is necessary for the performance of this study.
